Honest Grazer X Caz Louise Presents: Creamy Conscious Pine Nut Dream *Smoothie Bowl Recipe*

Welcome to the first of many conscious recipe collaborations, featuring my fave SA foodie, Honest Grazer.

Brought together by a passion for conscious living and mindful-eating, Linda and I are delighted to bring you delicious, healthy and conscious meals that any one can make!

This dreamy green smoothie bowl is designed to give rise to feel-good vibes and fuel you for a day of positive thinking and calm energy. More often than not, we find it difficult to declutter our minds, and forget that what we put inside our bodies (internal energy) has a direct impact on what WE put out into the world (external energy). as such, This bowl is perfectly balanced with subtle clean flavours, WHILE BEING rich in healthy fats and fibre to help you transition into the new season.

 

*Ingredients*

1/2 cup frozen pineapple

Handful fresh baby spinach

1/4 – 1/2 avocado (depending on size)

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 cup coconut milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

Dash lime juice (add more for taste)

 

*Optional Extras*

1 tbsp Soaring free Superfoods Supershake Vanilla Dream (or any vanilla protein powderl)

1 tsp honey OR 2 dates (vegan)

 

*Instructions*

 Blitz in a Nutribullet until smooth. Top with fresh raspberries, coconut flakes, seeds (hemp, pumpkin, sunflower) and/or nuts.

 

*Nutritional Benefits*

 Pineapple (High in Bromelain) = Anti-inflammatory, helps boost your metabolism and is a lower sugar alternative to banana.

 

Spinach (Leafy greens give you chlorophyll) = Strong antioxidant and anti-cancer effects, helps to speed up healing, improves digestion).

 

Avocado (High in healthy fats, protein and fibre) = Helps reduce cholesterol, keeps you satiated, stabilises blood sugar levels.

 

Chia Seeds (Omega 3) = Also has antioxidants, fibre and protein.

 

Through prioritising a clean digestive system, stable blood sugar levels, and by incorporating more anti-inflammatory foods into your diet, you allow your body to find a natural calming rhythm. The better your digestive system works, the better equipped your body is to extract nutrients from food, allowing you to feel fully-nourished and balanced.
